Electric Vehicle Production

Rivian plans to open its second EV factory here, employing 7,500 and investing $5 billion into the region. Hyundai Motor Group will open its first fully dedicated EV and battery manufacturer in GA, investing $7.4 billion by 2025. 

Battery Manufacturing and Recycling

Korean battery giant SK Battery is investing $2.6 billion in Jackson County to supply electric vehicles with the latest in battery technology. Ascend Elements is investing $43 million to open a commercial-scale lithium-ion battery recycling plant that will become the largest of its kind in North America.
