The Metro Atlanta Chamber’s (MAC) Public Affairs team is looking for an organized, energetic intern who loves the written word, has an eye for detail and wants to help tell Atlanta’s story on a global scale. The Public Affairs intern will support MAC’s work positioning metro Atlanta as a top-tier global region. They will also support the organization’s marketing team with copywriting needs.
This internship will run from May 2023 through August 2023, with a possibility to extend through the fall semester. Interns will work a minimum of 20 hours per week – to be determined by the supervisor and candidate.
The Digital Content Manager role resides within Metro Atlanta Chamber’s (MAC) marketing team, managing social media and digital content initiatives on behalf of MAC. As a critical member of our marketing team, you will work closely with the Channels & Analytics Manager, spearheading the development and implementation of digital and social media content in alignment with MAC’s talent and business marketing strategy. Additionally, in this role, you will work closely with the Public Affairs, Investor Relations, Economic Development, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship departments helping position metro Atlanta as a top-tier global region and engaging MAC’s target audiences through content.
In this role, you will be a proactive, thoughtful content creator with a passion for Atlanta people, culture, and communities – a creative and strategic thinker who can manage multiple projects at once, from high-level brand campaigns to daily social media interactions. As the day-to-day content manager, you can create, manage and execute various content across LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and occasionally YouTube & TikTok, ensuring content is accurate, timely, and aligned with MAC’s strategic imperatives.
The Talent Development Intern will gain experience working with a high-performing team and have exposure to large and small businesses, workforce, education providers, and agencies from the region and state. You will gain a breadth of knowledge in the education and workforce development sectors with an emphasis on projects and research focused on talent attraction, talent retention, education exploration, and attainment. MAC interns have experienced a high degree of job placement success upon completion of their internship.
The Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) serves as a catalyst for a more prosperous and vibrant Atlanta by focusing on starting, growing, and recruiting companies to the region while working to attract top talent and strengthen connections that drive Atlanta’s innovation and entrepreneurial culture.
The Economic Research team supports all teams within MAC, including Economic Development, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Public Policy, Marketing, Investor Relations, and the Atlanta Sports Council, by providing research and analysis of data and information about metro Atlanta.
We are looking for an intern to work 15-20 hours per week for the summer semester. The term and weekly hours of the internship are to be determined by the supervisor and candidate.

As a critical member of our marketing team, you will work cross-functionally across the organization to optimize digital channels, content, social media, campaign, and website performance to engage MAC’s target audiences and help position metro Atlanta as a top-tier global region. Additionally, in this role, you will leverage your data expertise to analyze performance across MAC’s brand channels, follow emerging trends, and provide recommendations when appropriate on impactful marketing and communications tactics.
