“Dr. King’s legacy lives on in Atlanta – it’s in our daily lives, the work we do here at the Metro Atlanta Chamber and in our drive to build an inspiring and welcoming region for all. We’re blessed with icons like Representative John Lewis and Ambassador Andrew Young, who walked with Dr. King and continue to share their wisdom and experience with a new generation.

“The strength of our business community is also a part of the King legacy. Our business leaders so ably demonstrate the Atlanta Way – the collaborative spirit that sets our region apart and shapes the thriving civic and business life we enjoy today. Dr. King believed in the power of compassion, respect and partnership. The Atlanta Way continues to fuel the innovation and creativity that are driving our region’s reputation as a global competitor of tomorrow while honoring the rich history of yesterday.

“This MLK Day, I am thankful to all of the many passionate people and organizations working every day to build a better, stronger Atlanta.”
