Yesterday, the Senate Tax Exemption Study Committee met for the second time in Dahlonega at the University of North Georgia. Senator Steve Gooch, a Dahlonega resident, offered greetings to kickoff the meeting. The study committee outlined the tax credits it plans to review this fall before the 2018 legislative session begins, which include:

  • Qualified transportation tax credit
  • Diesel particulate reduction technology equipment tax credit
  • Research tax credit
  • Historic rehabilitation tax credit
  • Film tax credit
  • Driver education tax credit
  •  

The study committee plans to meet three additional times across the state before it concludes its work for this year.
