In a report out this week, the Andrew Young School’s Center for State and Local Finance points out that the per-student tax digest may be showing some relief.

“Finally, after five straight years of declines, the statewide per student property tax digest (PSD) is growing – a 1.6 percent increase between fiscal years 2014 and 2015.”

This would be positive news for our hard-hit districts that have seen property values hit hard over the last 8 year.  Visit Georgia State University’s blog to view a copy of the full report and for links to the previous school funding reports.
