The Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) today announced updated plans for leadership in 2018 and 2019. Russell Stokes, president and chief executive officer, GE Energy Connections will chair the organization’s board in 2018 and David Abney, chairman and chief executive officer, UPS will chair the organization’s board in 2019.
The Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) today announced updated plans for leadership in 2018 and 2019. Russell Stokes, president and chief executive officer, GE Energy Connections will chair the organization’s board in 2018 and David Abney, chairman and chief executive officer, UPS will chair the organization’s board in 2019.
The chair-elect changes follow AT&T’s recent announcement that Glenn Lurie, president and chief executive officer, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Operations will relocate from Atlanta to the company’s headquarters in Dallas. Lurie was previously MAC’s chair-elect for 2018.

During his 12 years in Atlanta, Lurie was an active member of the business community and the Metro Atlanta Chamber. He launched MAC’s Mobility Taskforce, a four-year effort that shines a light on Atlanta’s vibrant mobility ecosystem and carrying the message around the world.
