NCR Corporation, a global leader in omni-channel solutions and headquartered in Atlanta, announced this month two additions to the Metro Atlanta Chamber’s IoT Council and Innovation & Entrepreneurship Advisory Board – two entities that will work to position Atlanta as a top-tier global competitor while attracting new companies and talent to the region.
NCR’s Executive Vice President of the Chief Administration Office and Chief Human Resources Officer Andrea Ledford will join the MAC Innovation & Entrepreneurship Advisory Board, joining other C-level executives, local university presidents, investors, and representatives from Invest Atlanta and the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
“Being named to the Metro Atlanta Chamber Advisory Board is a well-deserved recognition for Andrea, who was an early proponent for moving NCR’s Global Headquarters Campus to Midtown Atlanta,” said NCR Chairman and CEO Bill Nuti. “Andrea will use her vast knowledge and expertise to help the Chamber realize our shared vision of helping Atlanta become the Silicon Valley of the East.”
Ledford is joined by NCR Smart Services and Product Management, Development and Delivery Vice President Mike Groesch, who will serve as co-chairperson of the MAC IoT Council. The IoT Council unites its members to strengthen Atlanta’s position as a technological powerhouse and steers the strategic direction of the region’s IoT initiative, IoT.ATL.
“We are delighted to welcome Mike to the family,” said Cynthia Curry, MAC director of IoT ecosystem expansion. “Together we are a world-class, collaborative ecosystem of big brands, digital media leaders, technology powerhouses, universities, and a dynamic start-up community positioning Atlanta as a hotbed of high technology.”
These positions will allow NCR and the Chamber to continue to drive the metro region toward a more vibrant and prosperous future through impact in tech and innovation fields.
NCR recently opened its new global headquarters campus, which will be home to approximately 5,000 skilled professionals. The state-of-the-art campus will be roughly 750,000 square feet of space when completed.
