Metro Atlanta Graduation Rates Improve, Again

Graduation rates in Georgia have increased for the fifth straight year according to the Georgia Department of Education.  Specifically, Metro Atlanta area high schools report significant increases for 2015.


Graduation rates in Georgia have increased for the fifth straight year according to the Georgia Department of Education.  Specifically, Metro Atlanta area high schools report significant increases for 2015.

As illustrated by WABE,  new key indicators show metro area schools improved their overall graduation rates to 83.3% which is higher than the state average of 78.8%.

Key districts like Atlanta Public Schools saw a twelve percent gain in graduation rates to 71.5%. Fulton County Public Schools is the top percentage leader for 2015 with a graduation rate of 85.3%.

Georgia uses a federal measuring formula that counts students who enter their freshman year together and complete high school in four years.
