Chaired by industry leaders that include Kimberly-Clark Corporation, The Home Depot and Manhattan Associates, the Metro Atlanta Chamber’s Supply Chain Leadership Council provides a platform for key thought leaders to address skill gaps, market the regional ecosystem and share valuable insights that help organizations innovate and grow.

The second quarter meeting included a sneak peek of the #SupplyChainCity study led by Deloitte, an update on Dobbins Air Force Base Commissary, and a fast pitch from one of Atlanta’s logistics startups, MyLumper. MAC will be publishing further findings from the Deloitte study in the coming months.

With 17 innovation centers in our region focused on supply chain, metro Atlanta will continue to lead advancements in synchronized planning, connected customers, digitalization and autonomous delivery.

“For our industry to advance, we must stay informed on research and development insights. The Metro Atlanta Chamber provides a platform that not only brings the industry’s regional leaders together, but also encourages people to share data, ask questions and pitch innovative ideas,” said David Hartnett, chief economic development officer, Metro Atlanta Chamber.

From highways to railways to frequency of flights, metro Atlanta is uniquely positioned as a global logistics center. With 17 of our region’s 26 Fortune 500 and 1000 companies managing and supporting international supply chains, it is household names like The Coca-Cola Company, Delta Air Lines and UPS that maintain our region as a global transportation hub and position our legacy for key industry innovation.

The next Supply Chain Leadership Council meeting will be held August 24 at the Kimberly-Clark Corporation regional headquarters.
