Awards honor metro Atlanta business leaders advancing regional economy and environment
The Metro Atlanta Chamber announced today the finalists of the 2017 Atlanta E3 Awards. The E3 Awards celebrate the companies, organizations and people whose work conserving the metro region’s natural resources, development of clean technologies and support of sustainable projects and initiatives is deserving of recognition.
“The companies chosen today represent the best of our region’s efforts to advance sustainable business models,” said MAC President and CEO Hala Moddelmog. “The fact of the matter is that being environmentally conscious is not only essential to our future but also an economic benefit to our metro area. It creates jobs, impacts our quality of life and brings us the tech innovations that push us forward.”
The awards recognize the work being done to both grow economic bottom lines while conserving natural resources in our region. By fostering collaboration and problem solving, many Atlanta companies are making a difference.
There are seven award categories: Built Environment, Clean Tech Innovation, Community Strong, Liquid Assets, Moving the Needle (Transportation), New Venture and Trident (Individual). The categories cover a variety of industry sectors, such as water conservation, renewable energy, recycling, smart growth and many more. Full descriptions of each category can be found here.
