Aerotropolis Atlanta – home to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Fortune 500 companies and a host of local businesses, governments, non-profits and retailers – has garnered some much deserved attention in recent months.

The Aerotropolis CIDs were featured in the July issue of Georgia Trend magazine.  Representatives of the Airport West CID and the Airport South CID highlighted robust efforts to spur economic development within the 100-square-mile-area surrounding the nation's most traveled airport.  Plans to enhance the area address beautification, traffic congestion and public safety.

"We recognize that first impressions are very important, not only for the district, but for the city and state."   Kristen Berry, Aerotropolis Program Director

In the spring, Site Selection magazine ran a detailed story about the region's aggressive efforts to transform the airport vicinity.  The article makes clear that business and government are working hand in hand to attract great jobs to an underused area of Atlanta.

"The people who are going to create jobs are private enterprise, and nobody talks the language of business like other businesses." Joe Folz,  Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel, Porsche Cars North America.
