Did you know you can follow the activities of the Georgia General Assembly online?
Each legislative day both the House and the Senate post a schedule of the committee meetings. Many of these committee hearings are broadcast live on the Internet. While the bulk of the legislative process takes place at the committee level, final approval of legislation happens the floor of the House and Senate. The House and Senate Rules Committees also post the bills coming before their respective chambers the following legislative day and the rules for debate on these bills. This resource allows the general public to read legislation and stay informed of the issues before their elected representatives vote.
