MAX: Metro Atlanta Exchange for Workforce Solutions

MAX Minutes

with Bentley Ponder and Laura Wagner

Join MAX to hear from Bentley Ponder and Laura Wagner on two-generation innovations and solutions to affordable & quality care for children.

About this Event

Affordable and quality care for children is essential to allow Georgians to participate fully in the workforce, however it is not accessible to all that need it. Not only does this provide limits on the academic achievement of our earliest learners, but also prevents their parents from gaining upward mobility in their careers. To address these issues, the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning has been utilizing Two-Generation Innovation Grants (TGIG) which fund community oriented solutions to support student parents that face hurdles in achieving economic security. Join us for a discussion on the most recent round of grant recipients, previous engagement, and emerging trends related to the role of early care in workforce development.

Bentley Ponder, Deputy Commissioner for Quality Innovations and Partnerships and Laura Wagner, Community Outreach and Partnerships Director, Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning will join MAX to discuss "two generation innovations and solutions."

Join us on March 19th, 9:00 AM, for a timely and virtual conversation.

For non-members, this virtual event is $25.
