Emory University, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Children's Heathcare of Atlanta's Egelston campus (CHOA) have now each filed petitions to be annexed into the City of Atlanta.

These petitions would allow the city of Atlanta and MARTA to prioritize the building the Clifton Corridor rail line, which currently is not eligible to be built with the funds passed by city voters this past November.
