About the Metro Export Challenge

The Atlanta Metro Export Challenge (Atlanta MEC) is a year-long program to assist metro Atlanta companies in their global business development efforts. Since its implementation in 2016, the program has supported more than 100 metro Atlanta businesses with over half a million dollars in financial support and counseling. The continued support of our economic development partners and Atlanta’s business community makes this one of the largest economic development initiatives in the region.

Through the program, selected companies receive a reimbursement grant of $5,000 that can be used for expenses related to their international business growth. They also benefit from a tailored mentorship program to assist in the development of global sales plans and go-to market strategies.
