On Thursday morning, candidates running for Atlanta City Council President and Mayor participated in Committee for a Better Atlanta’s (CBA) candidate forums. The forums were held in Metro Atlanta Chamber’s boardroom. These panels are the first step in the process of the Atlanta business community’s examination of city-elected officials.
All three Atlanta City Council President candidates and 11 Mayoral candidates answered questions about issues that are important to the business community. These issue areas are summarized in CBA’s Platform, which can be found at here.
The event, being labeled as a “speed date,” allowed candidates to introduce themselves to a large group of Atlanta business leaders. Many event attendees agreed that the forum was a great way to get acquainted with the large field of candidates.
