Yesterday, the Committee for a Better Atlanta (CBA) hosted its first City Council Candidate Forum at the Metro Atlanta Chamber.

The forum consisted of 5 panels of candidates from all 12 districts and the three At-Large posts. Candidates were given 30 seconds to respond to questions covering the CBA platform topics, from transportation to affordable housing to ethics.

Moderated by Dave Huddleston, from WSBTV, likened the event to speed dating. The goal of the forum was to give the business community a first look at the candidates.

The candidate forums are the first step in CBA’s process to rank all the candidates seeking seats in the November election on a numerical scale from 0 to 100. These rankings will be released in October.

The City Council President and Mayoral Candidate Forum is on Thursday also at the Metro Atlanta Chamber.
