Millennial-led Program Attracts Students from 14 Top Regional Brands, Including Delta Air Lines, Turner, Cox Automotive and More
ATLANTA – June 12, 2019 – The ChooseATL After 5 program launches for its fourth consecutive year, providing interns from 14 of metro Atlanta’s top companies, including Delta Air Lines, Turner, Cox Automotive and more, with valuable experiences outside of the office that illustrate Atlanta’s rich lifestyle and culture. After 5 is the first program of its kind in the nation – a six-part summer series of events at cultural hotspots around metro Atlanta, allowing interns to build relationships with their peers while enhancing their perception of the region.

The ChooseATL After 5 program has more than doubled in size since its inception in 2015. To-date, After 5 has served 3,825 interns from over 40 companies across metro Atlanta.
“Metro Atlanta was recently recognized as the 2018 No. 1 city for availability of internships and the No. 1 most affordable big city in the nation. The ChooseATL After 5 program is designed to directly intersect with the interns who would choose our city for careers,” said Metro Atlanta Chamber Chief Brand and Communications Officer Deisha Barnett. “We’re proud of our ability to create a unique, millennial-led program in partnership with the business community, giving these interns exposure to a region where you can truly make your mark.”

ChooseATL After 5 introduces interns to career opportunities, builds community by providing a casual space for networking, and amplifies culture by showcasing the region through its sports, music, art scenes and more. After 5 also serves as a unique recruitment and retention tool, attracting and educating the best creative, tech and leadership talent of tomorrow
“I love Atlanta because it is so diverse. I can walk down the street and see so many different cultural influences, and I just love it,” said current Turner intern Alexis Granville.
“ChooseATL After 5 has been an amazing experience, and if I have taken anything away from this, it’s that Atlanta definitely is the place to be,” said past EY intern Jasmine Rose.
ChooseATL After 5 this year is sponsored by Delta Air Lines, Turner, Cox Automotive, Novelis, EY, Crawford, Southern Company and Invest Atlanta. Other participating companies include Earthlink, Carter, Genesis Capital, LLC., Corporate Environments, Brown Bag Marketing and Poston Communications.
