Betty Willis, Senior Associate Vice President, Government & Community Affairs at Emory University makes the case for expanding MARTA in the online publication Decaturish.com.  Willis, who is also Executive Director, Clifton Community Partnership and President, Clifton Corridor Transportation Management Association cites the importance of MARTA rail expansion for the local community.

Willis notes that the Clifton Corridor is home to Emory University, the largest employer in DeKalb county and the third largest employer in metro Atlanta.  Various proposals to expand transit to the Clifton Corridor have existed since 1960 with the latest light rail plan stuck in federal regulatory limbo for nearly 15 years.  According to Willis, voters deserve the opportunity to decide our region’s prosperity and fate, not a handful of elected officials,
