2021 ChooseATL Interns After 5 Comes to a Close

July 29, 2021

ChooseATL Interns After 5 program has just finished its sixth year and is the only program of its kind. We give interns across metro Atlanta companies an opportunity to get to know the region through a series of interactive, culturally-rich experiences that deepen their connection with Atlanta and encourage them to set down roots here after graduation.

During this year’s virtual program, attendees had the opportunity to hear personal stories and pieces of advice from speakers like Jason Carter, Creator of One Musicfest; Dr. Bartolucci, author and board-certified sleep psychologist; Kristie Swink Benson, the director of communications at the High Museum of Art;  Courtney Brooks, Curator and Artist with ART on the BeltLine; Kirk Brown- Chief Development and Communications officer for the Ron Clark Academy and Kyle Stapleton, Manager of Culture & Experience at Turner Studio.

Our last two events were in-person experiences to close out the program. Attendees participated in a Community Service Meet-Up and an Atlanta Braves Send-Off. Our participants thoroughly enjoyed networking and building friendships in-person to wrap-up this summer’s season.

Overall, we had a successful Interns After 5 2021 season with the total attendance of over 100 people representing 12 states30 employers (AT&T, Delta Airlines, Anthem, BlackRock, Cox Enterprises, Simplehuman, NCR, Goldman Sachs & Sherwin-Williams, among others) and 28 schools (including Auburn University, Florida A&M University, Temple University and University of California San Diego). See below for the full lists.
