Top Chamber Researcher Earns “Certified Community Researcher” Designation
Only 20 Other People in U.S. Hold This Title

ATLANTA – Jennifer Zeller, vice president of research at the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, has been recognized as a “Certified Community Researcher” (CCR) by the nation’s top community research council.

Only 20 other people in the United States hold this designation, which is given by ACCRA-the Council for Community and Economic Research.

“The Metro Atlanta Chamber has become an authoritative source for information on the region’s economy and vital statistics – thanks in large part to Jennifer Zeller,” said Chamber President Sam A. Williams. “Only 20 other people in the nation hold the title of ‘Certified Community Researcher’ – and we’ve got one of them right here in Atlanta. Jennifer’s accomplishment is evidence of the caliber of the Chamber’s research operation.”

As head of the Chamber’s research department, Zeller is responsible for developing and publishing a wide range of research documents and marketing materials that support the Chamber’s economic development efforts to market Atlanta across the world and recruit companies and jobs. Zeller has been at the Chamber for nearly 10 years.

“Jennifer’s experience and expertise make her a natural fit for this exclusive club of research professionals,” said Kenneth E. Poole, Executive Director of ACCRA.  “Certified Community Researchers are invaluable resources for regional organizations seeking to help ensure that economic development is implemented effectively.”

ACCRA is dedicated to improving the skills of community and economic development researchers. Professional researchers can earn the title of "Certified Community Researcher" by proving their abilities and skills through a combination of education, career experiences, practical training and courses, and an oral and written thesis project.

Zeller will receive her official certification on June 9 at the 46 th Annual ACCRA Conference, which is being held in Charlotte, N.C.
