ATLANTA – The Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce has named Karen Holladay, former Latin America and Caribbean region manager for Delta Air Lines, as the new international project manager for the Economic Development Division
“Karen will be instrumental in this newly developed role as the Chamber continues to focus on our international strategy and increase our reach around the world marketplace,” said Hans Gant, senior vice president of Economic Development for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. “Atlanta is already recognized as a global gateway, and we are ready to expand our international reach, foreign direct investment and job creation throughout metro Atlanta and the state of Georgia.”
Prior to joining the Chamber, Holladay was responsible for the daily operations of the Atlanta regional office of Delta Air Lines’ Latin America and Caribbean region. During her time at Delta, she played a key role in helping to define Atlanta as an international business center and developed initiatives to increase awareness of Atlanta as a Latin American gateway. Her responsibilities included coordination of new market implementation, supporting Delta’s professional relations with Atlanta’s civic partners engaged in international affairs and promoting Delta’s service to the Latin America and Caribbean regions.
Holladay is a member of the board of directors for the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Partners Committee for Hemisphere, Inc. and a member of the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce.
A native of Atlanta, Holladay has lived in London, England, and traveled extensively throughout the world.
