Map #1 – Traffic Congestion Maps for 2000 and 2025
The results of the Atlanta Regional Commission’s long-range 2025 Regional Transportation Plan were staggering, allowing congestion to get 30-45% worse even after $37-40 billion was spent. Many of the region’s areas will have bumper-to-bumper traffic for 6-12 hours per day.

Map #2 – Metro Atlanta Region Map
Metro Atlanta covers a large geographic area, and its trip patterns resemble a spider’s web. Spider-web like movements are difficult to serve cost-effectively with light or heavy rail infrastructure.

Map #3 – Metro Atlanta’s Work Trip Pattern Map
The Work Trip Pattern map depicts the estimated number of Work Trips made between and within Districts (6,000 trips or above) in 2025; 57.8% of all regional work trips are shown.

Priority Corridors ranking
The Metro Atlanta Chamber identified and ranked congested corridors that merit further investment in the region’s 2030 aspiration-based plan.
