The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals Atlanta Roundtable and Clayton State University hosted the 2013 Career Expo and Student Bowl at Clayton State University on Wednesday, February 27th.
More than 150 students from 12 universities and technical schools attended the event to meet with 24 supply chain and logistics companies and to compete in the Student bowl. Kim Carbia began the day with a Student Workshop about Interview Coaching and was followed by a panel of Supply Chain experts from Keuhne + Nagel, NCR, Pilot Freight Services, Syncreon Inc., Mullins International Solutions and American Intercontinental University. Bob Pertierra, MAC VP of Supply Chain and Advanced Manufacturing, moderated the Student Bowl. CSCMP awarded 26 scholarships totaling $10,000. The winning school was Auburn University. The day concluded with the students meeting with 24 supply chain and logistics companies for potential jobs and internship opportunities. John Mascaritolo, Clayton State University, and Lori Boatwright, Manpower Group organized and ran the event. The universities and technical schools in attendance were Albany State University, Atlanta Technical College, American Intercontinental University, Auburn University, Clark Atlanta University, Clayton State University, Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, Kennesaw State University, Middle Georgia College and State University, Tuskegee University and University of Alabama.
